CONGRATULATIONS ON ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON! Chester Dolphin Swim Team is the Division A
Winner and the CAL Champs winner for 2008. Our Record for the
regular season was 6-0 with two swim meets scoring well over 2000 points
each. The score at Champs was 1176 points followed by Woodland Pond at
808.5, Queensmill at 446.83, the rest of the scores and results can be
found on swimcal.org. A huge thank you to the parents for
volunteering and helping at Champs. Parents pitched in where
needed and showed up on time to replace another tired and hot
worker. We had the cleanest tent for the weekend! The
determined coaches of the CRA swim team did an outstanding job placing
swimmers in their individual events and relays to accomplish a score of
over 1000 points. Way to go Coach Miller and Alexa! Our
swimmers had fantastic performances at every age group and level in
swimming. They showed excellent sportsmanship and rekindled
friendships with swimmers from across the county. Thank you to the
CRA facility and staff for assisting the CRA swim team in another
winning season. See you August 5, 6:30 for the awards dinner!
If you are interested in Year Round swimming there are several swim
clubs in our area offering informational evenings. Please see the
posted information at the pool on the swim team board. The YMCA in
Chester is also getting ready to start their fall swim season in
September. If you are interested in the YMCA please contact them
as soon as possible to express any concerns you might have with making
swimming for the Y affordable for more swimmers, but also allowing ample
practice time. |

The Chester Recreational Youth Swim Team is Central Chester's oldest and Chesterfield's most successful youth aquatics team. It has successfully captured the Chesterfield Aquatics League Division A Championship for the past FOURTEEN YEARS and has won more titles than any other sporting organization in Chesterfield County. Our team is composed of children ages 5 to 18, most of which come from the immediate Chester area. Many of our children start to compete with only a very limited knowledge of swimming and have left competing on the collegiate level, some with full scholarships for aquatics. Barbara Miller will be returning as our CRA head coach this year. She is ready to continue our success and committed to training all our swimmers to be their best. She brings years of experience to CRA and will encourage all the swimmers to improve their technique and endurance. |
